ABB in Nigeria is consolidating its activities around its core businesses, Power and Automation Technologies, therefore has divested of its Powerlines business.
ABB group sold off its shares in the legal entity ‘ABB Powerlines Limited’ located at 1 Awosika St., Ikeja, Lagos to SDEM Erectors Nigeria Limited, on the 14th of February 2005. This therefore means that ABB in Nigeria does not operate any business with the name ABB Powerlines Limited.
In effect this serves as an open declaration to our esteemed clients and contractors that ABB in Nigeria operates only under the name ABBNG Limited and has her offices located at 46 Industrial Avenue, PMB 21055, Ilupeju, Ikeja, Lagos and Total Building, Plot 247, Herbert Macaulay Way, Central Business Area, Abuja.
The Power Technology division of the design, engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of outdoor and indoor substations and switchyards. We provide after sales support and services, supply and commissioning of power communications systems.
The ABB Automation Technology employs 54,000 people in 80 manufacturing centers and 50 research and development laboratories. We have sales, service and engineering presence in more than 40 countries.
The products and services provided by the Automation Technology Division include drives, motors and power electronic components. Furthermore, instrumentation and control products such as field devices for sensing, controlling and actuating, analyzers, metering equipment, control and information systems are available.
