The yearly OEM Days took place on June In the Stromberg Park in Vaasa, Finland. Customers from 40 countries had the opportunity to attend various products sessions at he the factories and a compre-hensive product exhibition in the OEM House. A new record was set in the number of participating companies and countries. Giuliano Monizza was the experienced master of ceremonies.
 | The event formed a platform for presenting and discussing the complete portfolio of ABB. The product portfolio comprised medium and low voltage switchgear, distribution protection and control products, motor and drives, special products and transformers. The participants attended product-specific sessions and dedicated workshops in the factories around the industry park. The workshop themes quality, cooperation and innovation raised fruitful discussions among the participants and the ABB experts. Technology trends were highlighted with comments on ABB's future plans for products and technologies. The guest speaker, Group Vice President Cristoph Vitzthum from Wärtsilä, shared their experiences and views on partnership and business opportunities. |

 | The gala dinner by the sea was hosted by Mikko Niinivaara, the Country Manage of Finland. The traditional OEM Olympics of the OEM Days, where selected OEMs were rewarded, were a memorable feature of the Gala Dinner.

The gala program entertained the audience among other things with magic shows and famous Finnish opera singers dressed as singing waitresses.
The co-operation with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors is steadily growing, now comprising 17% of the sales. Quality products & processes and Partnership are seen as the key factors for success in OEM business.
